The arena welcomes broomball and hockey teams from around the region for exhibition, league and tournament games. The Town of Wakaw promotes recreation through skating, and welcomes everyone to take part in public skating and/or shinny on scheduled days.
Private rentals are available! The Town of Wakaw is happy to work with all users to fit them with the best possible rental.

Out of town rentals require a 50% deposit to hold booking. Enhance your team's tournament! GO BOWLING! Teams can fill time between games at the Wakaw Bowling Alley. Teams can use the opportunity as a team building activity, or to take a break from the area. NEW in 2026, food is now available following an upgrade to the kitchen. Another option for teams to enjoy their tournament experience is by making use of the flexible open space provided by the former Wakaw curling rink. Kids can play mini-sticks, basketball, and other low impact activities. Adults can spread out and socialize, or play like kids too! Tournaments are VERY fun, but they can be tiring for all tournament goers (players, siblings, parents, etc.). Lessen "arena" exhaustion by booking this great space. Previous tournament organizers rave how great the location is when hosting a tournament. Both the bowling alley and former curling rink are located in the Wakaw Rec Centre at 211 Main Street, which is only a short drive, or a nice walk on a nice winter's day. Contact Alley Entertainment to book either space, or pass along this information to the managers of your visiting teams, allowing them to book these facilities on their own. Text or call 306-280-8318. Another option is the Wakaw Royal Canadian Legion Hall. Contact this organization to learn what it may be able to provide your team.
