Years ago Dr. Cenaiko generously donated his former clinic building to the Town of Wakaw. With his focus on community and his wonderful legacy in mind, the best use for the space has never been determined- until now.

In partnership with the Wakaw Primary Health Care Team and the Saskatoon Health Region, the Town is excited to announce that plans are underway to develop the space into a Community Wellness Centre.

Projects and renovations will be phased. Phase one will see a Fitness Centre with equipment and weights open, which will be accessible through a low cost membership. Other potential plans include rooms for fitness and yoga classes, community groups and cultural programs. Details are still being worked out, and require community input. Please watch the Recorder, the Town Website and our Facebook Page for a chance to have your say!

The building has a variety of furnishings that are no longer required- chairs, tables, desks, shelves, etc. As a fundraiser for this Community Wellness Centre we are hosting a sale of these items by donation. All proceeds will go into purchasing equipment and funding renovations to the space ( flooring, etc.)

Someone will be onsite to monitor the garage sale over the following days:

Wednesday, November 23, Noon-6pm.
Tuesday, November 29, 10am-4pm.
Saturday, December 3, 8:30- noon.

In the meantime you have any questions call the office at 306-233-4223 or contact standish.wakaw@sasktel.net.
