Our vision

Operated by membership board, the Wakaw Fitness Centre is a non- profit organization under the town of Wakaw, charging only enough to cover costs of facility. We are located at:

209 1st street North, Wakaw, Sk, S0K 4P0

Our vision

The building operates out of Dr. Cenaiko’s former clinic location. As he moved on from his practice in Wakaw, the building was donated to the town and was sitting vacant for some time.  In the spirit of health and wellness, the facility will one day become a year round recreational facility, self-sustaining and operating to promote the betterment of the community it serves.  This vision includes our mostly complete fitness centre, affordable rental space for small businesses promoting well-being, and a large open space for group activity such as yoga, dance, etc…


Currently our facility hosts a variety of exercise equipment, both cardio and strength based.

Funding for the facility is generated through donations and memberships to our fitness centre.  If donating is something you or an organization is considering, we are able to offer tax receipts through the town of Wakaw.


Memberships can be purchased anytime by emailing fitness@wakaw.ca and requesting the forms,

additionally you can download the forms by clicking HERE,

or in person at The Wakaw Recorder during their business hours.


Currently memberships may only be purchased on a quarterly or annual basis, both with auto renew option. There is $25 initial start-up fee.

Payment can be made via e-transfer over email, online by credit card, cash/cheque or debit by paying in person at The Wakaw Recorder

Once you purchase your membership,  in 24 to 48 hours you will  receive a code granting you 24/7/365 access
